Sounds like you have had two rough Yules in a row.  I hope your next Xmas is hassle free.

One year, my cat knocked down our Xmas tree on my sleeping sister and peed on it and her as she slept in our living room.

Good luck next year!  I hope your sinus infection goes away quickly.

If you can have all that go wrong & still have a good Christmas, then you're doing very well!

Oh, your poor sister, what is it about cats and Christmas?  If they're not knocking off the ornaments they're eating the tinsel, and worse.
I feel much better, thanks.  Here's to next year!

I didn't mention the weevils in my microwave...You get to that overload point where it's just easier to ride it out and find the humor in it.  Sometimes it seems my whole life is an exercise in crisis management.  My mantra has always been, 'this too, shall pass,' whether good or bad.  And sometimes God gets an earful, because really, enough is enough!

God Bless You, Beaner. Sincerely. Go to Vegas next year, instead. (Joking, of course, but we did do that one year and I'm not even sorry...)

You know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea at all!  I always wanted to do a cabin in the woods kind of thing, or maybe way out there in Banff (I watched the Great Lodges of the Rockies on PBS, gorgeous places).  Maybe karma will make it up to me by a lottery win, and then I can quit my job and travel.  Yeah, that'll do it.

Well, karma does come through, I've noticed. It's a bit of a procrastinator, though, so we have to be patient...I'll be rooting for that cabin in the woods for you.....

Thanks!  My evangelical friends are praying me up a millionaire, so we'll see how it goes...
