[this is good] Thanks for visiting our blog, hun.

I agree about the 'having girls around', but with only daughters (and both fully grown and gone) I don't know the feel of having boys around. As the only man in the house it's perhaps the polar opposite of your situation

My brother, poor soul, is an only boy with 3 sisters.  At my oldest son's wedding we were taking the obligatory sibling picture and he was muttering something about being pushed around by bossy women his whole life and the only other male in his house is his dog.  Having just boys around the house means it's loud, there are dishes and socks everywhere, and I fall in the toilet in the middle of the night.  I have gotten them to use Oust, mostly.  They all assume someone else fed the dog, or took him out.  And apparently the grocery shopping is done by the good fairies, except when it involves getting soda and Doritos.

Oh, honestly, I am seriously technology challenged.  There's a reply to you on my blog re: daughters vs. sons that was supposed to go to you but didn't???
This is why I still use disposable cameras.

David W. Smith

Awwww. You are overstating the problem... you seriously don't have a digital camera? I bet you'd be great with one.

Scio, Scio

It did kind of smell in their room, mom.

Trust me, no overstatement, just ask the kids.  What I really, really want when I finally get a new camera is a Pentax digital SLR with a couple of bells and whistles that I'll have to take a class to learn how to use.  I want to capture what I see in my head when the shutter clicks. I'm saving up.  BTW, I love the pic y'all took from inside the Louvre's pyramid, very cool.

You say that just as if you didn't contribute to same when you were here.  And last time you visited the house smelled like turkey roasting, not dirty socks.

Scio, Scio

The boy's room was suffused with conflicting odors.  It was troubling.

Hilarious conversations you guys.

Beaner, also check out some of our older pictures, from our previous trip to Australia and New Zealand, in 2000.

Good luck on getting your SLR. I look forward to seeing the results.

Regards

Will do, I don't know if I'll ever get there, but New Z is on my list of places to see, right after Barcelona.  The SLR is on sale at a camera shop here this week, I just may check it out and let the property taxes hang.  Sigh.  I hear responsibility calling.

Were you sitting on the futon?  Maybe it was the dog, who sleeps there.  Look, Sparky, unless I hose everyone off with Clorox that's just the way it is.  Your problem is now you're married and living with a girl, and stuff smells nice.  It's just me against your brothers, I'm outnumbered no matter how many candles I light.

David W. Smith

Ouch! Be a good boy...
...wait, I'm much meaner to my Mom.

Oh Please, He's trying really hard to make our apartment smell like that, I'm convinced...Socks on the floor, trash piled u beside the can and the idea that "clean the bathroom" means clean the toilet and rinse out the sink.....
"What about the Floor, did you clean the floor? Did you shake out the rug?"
"-- uhhhhhh"

On Travel:  Need a volunteer to go to Spain With you?? ME ME ME!  There are some great Antonio Gaudi buildings

I''m dying to see...we shall leave all the dirty socks behind and strike out into the great wide world!!!

Now I know that boy can clean a bathroom, because he picked that over doing the dishes.  You know they don't actually see anything they can step over.  I did try my best to train them before I released them into the world.  Sorry. Spain sounds good. Missed it for this year, though. Michelle needed the deposit by October and already had 22 going.  You know you're old when the travel shows are interesting, but there was a show on Barcelona and Gaudi's work that piqued my interest.  Bill and Nikki Sabino went in June(?) and said it was way better than Madrid. Cute picture of Fran.....
